Material Introduction:

PS Polystyrene is synthetic polymers which made by the styrene monomer and free radical polymerization. It is a transparent thermoplastic, having a higher glass transition temperature of 100 ℃, polystyrene own acid and low-energy alcohol resistance, that may softened by many hydrocarbons, ketones, and other higher fatty lipid erosion , and dissolved in aromatic hydrocarbons .

Features:
♦ excellent electrical insulation, It’s a good high-frequency insulation materials, and have excellent arc resistance.
♦ Polystyrene is high transparent material with high surface gloss.

♦ odorless, non-toxic, without fungus growth.

Disadvantages
♦ poor mechanical properties, hard and brittle, and easily stress cracking by solvents corrosion.
♦ low surface hardness, easy to scratch; poor heat resistance, low heat distortion temperature.

Applications:

♦ produce disposable containers which need to withstand the temperature of boiling water , and disposable foam lunch boxes
♦ it can be widely used in light industry market, household decoration, lighting instructions and packaging and so on.

♦ it is good electrical insulation and thermal insulation materials, it can produce a variety of instrument enclosures, lampshade, optical chemical equipment parts, transparent film capacitor dielectric layer.
