The "Protective Shield" for Light-Proof Pharmaceutical Packaging: Dark Brown Opaque Rigid PVC Roll Sheet, Perfect for Blister Packaging Needs

Dark brown opaque rigid PVC roll sheet is a core material specifically designed for light-proof pharmaceutical packaging. Through its high light-blocking properties and the stability of PVC, it provides a dual guarantee of "light isolation + physical protection" for photosensitive pharmaceuticals. After being thermoformed into blister packs, it has become the mainstream packaging choice for light-proof pharmaceuticals such as tablets and capsules, perfectly meeting the safety and compliance requirements of pharmaceutical packaging.

I. Core Performance: Precisely Matching the Essential Needs of Light-Proof Pharmaceutical Packaging

1. Ultimate Light Protection, Blocking the Risk of Photodegradation

The deep brown color is achieved by adding a high concentration of environmentally friendly light-blocking masterbatch (such as carbon black and brown composite pigments), achieving a light-blocking rate of ≥99%. It comprehensively blocks visible light, ultraviolet (UV) radiation, and infrared rays, fundamentally preventing the oxidation and decomposition of pharmaceuticals due to light exposure, which could lead to reduced efficacy or deterioration. This is especially suitable for photosensitive pharmaceuticals such as vitamins, antibiotics, and biological agents, extending their shelf life at room temperature by 3-6 months, far exceeding the protective effect of ordinary transparent PVC blister packs.

Key Indicators: UV blocking rate ≥99.5% (200-400nm wavelength range), visible light transmittance <0.5%, fully meeting customers' light-blocking requirements for pharmaceutical packaging.

2. Rigid Material Properties + Stable Physical Performance, Suitable for Blister Packaging and Distribution

Excellent Material Rigidity: As a rigid PVC roll, its Shore hardness is ≥90D. A common thickness of 0.2-0.5mm ensures the blister pack remains stiff and undeformed during thermoforming, allowing for precise support of individual medications (such as tablets and capsules) and preventing damage from compression and collisions during transport.

Strong Processing Adaptability: With a thermoforming temperature range of 130-160℃, it is easily stretched after heating and quickly sets after cooling, with a shrinkage rate of <0.5%. This allows for the stable production of blister pack cavities with regular dimensions. It also exhibits excellent heat-sealing performance with pharmaceutical aluminum foil, providing high heat-sealing strength and effectively isolating moisture and oxygen after sealing, thus doubly protecting the stability of the medication.

Weather and Corrosion Resistance: It maintains stable performance at room temperature, does not become brittle at low temperatures, and does not deform at high temperatures, making it suitable for the complex temperature and humidity conditions of pharmaceutical storage and transportation. Furthermore, it is not resistant to components in pharmaceuticals (such as acids, alkalis, and oils), does not undergo chemical reactions, and will not release harmful substances.

3. Pharmaceutical-grade Compliance and Safety, No Migration Risk

Raw Materials and Additives Compliance: Utilizing food-grade high-purity PVC resin, free of heavy metals and prohibited phthalates, meeting pharmaceutical packaging standards;

II. Targeted Applications: Focusing on Light-Proof Blister Packaging for Pharmaceuticals

Dark brown opaque rigid PVC rolls, after thermoforming into blister packs, are primarily used for packaging pharmaceuticals that are "light-sensitive and require long-term storage." Typical applications include:

Tablets/Capsules: Vitamin C tablets, mecobalamin tablets, nifedipine sustained-release tablets, antibiotic capsules, etc., each blister pack is individually sealed, providing both light protection and precise dosage control for convenient patient administration;

Granules/Powders: Small-dose pharmaceutical granules, probiotic powders, etc., blister packs prevent light-induced ingredient inactivation while also protecting against moisture and contamination;

Specialty Drugs: Biological agents, photosensitive hormone drugs, etc., requiring extremely high levels of light protection and sealing. Dark brown PVC... Blister packs offer more stringent protection, ensuring stable efficacy of medications throughout their shelf life.

Furthermore, the roll material can be processed into pharmaceutical trays, inner trays, etc., for bulk carrying and separation of light-protected medications, adapting to automated pharmaceutical packaging production lines.

Note on Storage and Transportation: The roll material must be sealed in packaging (inner PE film + outer moisture-proof paper) and stored in a cool, dry environment (temperature 15-30℃, humidity ≤60%). Avoid direct sunlight, high temperature, and high humidity to prevent yellowing and moisture absorption. During transportation, avoid squeezing and collisions to prevent scratches on the roll material surface, which could affect the appearance and sealing performance of the blister packs.
