Polystyrene resin is a non-toxic, odorless, and colorless transparent material composed of glass-like brittle particles. Its products exhibit extremely high transparency, with alight transmittance of up to 90%. Additionally, it possesses good electrical insulation performance, is easily colored, and has excellent processing fluidity. Furthermore, it demonstrates good rigidity and chemical corrosion resistance.

Advantages of PS Rigid Film:
- High transparency (clarity similar to glass)
- Low cost and lightweight
- Easy to thermoform, cut, and print
- Good dimensional stability
- Excellent surface finish

 Limitations:
- Brittle at low temperatures
- Susceptible to impact damage
- Not recyclable in all regions (though technically recyclable under #6 code)
- Can degrade under prolonged UV exposure (unless UV-stabilized)
