What is APET plastic material?
APET plastic (amorphous polyethylene terephthalate) is a thermoplastic material that belongs to the polyester family. Its more commonly known name is APET, which is suitable for flat sheet thermoforming applications.

It comes in two product forms: APET plastic film and APET rigid sheet, with one or two protective layers on the APET plastic sheet.

What is the difference between APET plastic and PET plastic?
There is no difference between PET plastic and APET plastic. PET is a polyester. Its chemical name is polyethylene terephthalate. PET can be made into polymers in two main ways: amorphous or crystalline.

In fact, all the things we come into contact with are amorphous, with one major exception. If the food tray in a microwave oven is made of PET, it is made of C-PET (crystalline PET).

Both Mylar and bottle-grade, fully transparent PET are made from A-PET (amorphous PET). In many cases, the "A" is omitted.
