OPS plastic sheet is the internationally accepted abbreviation for Biaxially Oriented Polystyrene, also known as BOPS sheet. It is a new type of environmentally friendly polymer packaging material modified through a special stretching process. Its core advantage lies in balancing excellent physical properties, environmental friendliness, and cost-effectiveness, making it widely used in the packaging field—especially suitable for scenarios requiring both product display and protection.
Superior Transparency and Appearance: Boasting excellent light transmittance and gloss, its crystal-clear feature clearly showcases the state of products inside the packaging. It effectively enhances product visual appeal and consumer purchasing desire, making it an ideal choice for high-end packaging.
High Hardness and Rigidity: Compared with ordinary plastic materials, OPS sheet offers outstanding hardness and rigidity, providing reliable protection for packaged products against minor collisions during transportation or storage. Under the same load-bearing requirements, thinner sheets can be used to produce finished products, significantly reducing material consumption.
Light Weight and Significant Cost Advantage: With a specific gravity of only 1.05g/cm³, it is much lighter than PET (1.37g/cm³) and PVC (1.37g/cm³). When producing sheets of the same volume, OPS material consumption is 23.4% less than PET. Additionally, it has a larger surface area per unit weight (3.74m²/kg for 254-micron thick sheets), resulting in higher output and lower overall material costs.
High Production Efficiency and Low Energy Consumption: It features short molding time and requires a relatively low molding temperature. When producing products of the same shape, it not only achieves higher efficiency than other similar materials but also reduces energy consumption and labor costs during production, meeting the needs of large-scale industrial production.
Wide Temperature Range Adaptability: It can be used normally in environments ranging from -40℃ to 80℃. After modification, it can also adapt to freezing scenarios, making it suitable for packaging with special requirements such as refrigerated food and low-temperature stored medicines.
